It was my very good fortune to meet Margaret and Bob Michie back in 1969. As a student studying in London I traveled north to stay with the Michies during a university break. What a wonderful experience. Margaret was a happy, gracious, intelligent woman who took pains to make me feel welcome in their home. We kept in touch for many years and I later visited the Michies twice more. In 1983 my wife and I were their guests, enjoying a drive up to Cawdor with them. While I'm sorry to hear Margaret and Bob have passed, I hope that their family are nourished by the many happy memories they shared with them.
