We were saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. It was a great pleasure to meet Jim and Carole earlier this year on our trip around Scotland, and all too brief. Meeting him and listening to his stories was one of the highlights of our trip. At that time he gave us a copy of his father’s notes with stories about the Petrie family in Orkney which was very thoughtful of him and for which I am very thankful. Our sincere condolences from the Petrie family in Nova Scotia.
