With great sadness I learn the passing of my old friend Beryl. As a Belgian Scotland freak, I first met her at the Cameron museum in the eighties. During my +/-25 consecutive annual visits to Fort William I always went to Puilldohran to say hello. Always was it a joyful welcome and we spent hours talking together. I remember that- already in old age- she went to Antartica and that she still went out in her yacht... Let us be thankful for her reaching this grand old age of 98 after an active life full of altruism and optimism ! My last visit to her - and to Scotland- was in september 2017. I am 83 now with bad knees... but I cherish the memories of the blissful days when I was tramping over the Lochaber hills... Always yours, Jan
